Lumbar spinal stenosis (LSS) is defined as any narrowing of the lumbar spinal canal, nerve root canal, or intervertebral foramina. It is usually caused by spinal degenerative conditions. Patients present one or a combination of several symptoms, such as low back pain, leg pain, leg numbness, and neurogenic claudication, which occur secondary to narrowing of the spinal canal, nerve root canal, or intervertebral foramina.
